The fiber in black rice helps you to feel full. The fiber and antioxidants have been shown to have a positive effect on cholesterol. Your body's cells (like your heart) run on cholesterol. Additionally, black rice is high in protein, which is beneficial to digestive health. It is also high in zinc and selenium, nutrients that are essential to immune system function.
